This edition features news of Rachel Blackburn attending September's DCD Conference in London, an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion summit by Tower Bridge, and a Saxon Air charity fundraising ball in Norfolk.

There is also an international theme with the team attending a New York Jets networking event in London in October (coinciding with the NFL's overseas games in the UK), before 'jetting' off to New York for a week-long trade mission. Rachel Blackburn also met the UK's new Minister for Services, Small Business and Exports, Gareth Thomas MP, at an International Trade Week 2024 event in London.

With the festive season now in full swing, the team also attended charity events including The Royal Variety Performance, and NSPCC and The GEM Appeal fundraising events in Manchester.

With a reputation for delivering amazing customer service, our client is looking for an accomplished Manual Machinist to prepare test pieces for a wide range of clients in the oil & gas and renewable energy industries.

Working with a team of professionals you must be able to clearly demonstrate your ability to work with colleagues to:

• Prepare metallic test pieces in line with national/international standards and company procedures

• Use mills, lathes, saws and surface grinders

• Complete oxyacetylene and plasma cutting

• Adapt your machining skills for a unique challenge

• Verify dimensions and interpret data to pass on to colleagues

• Undergo on the job training as requested by the Machine Shop Manager

This role requires English and Mathematics grade A-C GCSE or similar, a desire to challenge yourself learn and adapt as no two days are the same. A fork lift licence is desirable although training will be provided. Fabrication experience is desirable but not essential.
